Grow From Seeds

Growing chamomile from seed

German chamomile is an easy annual for tea and for bees.

Sowing

Sow on the surface or barely covered, since the seed likes light. It may take two or three weeks to germinate, quicker in warmth.

It is hardy and can be started before winter frost or in spring.

Tips

  • Pick flowers regularly for tea and to keep it flowering.
  • Roman chamomile is a different, perennial plant.

Always check the packet for your variety, and see the step-by-step guide for the basics.
