This video is all about growing seeds from a plant that’s been around for 240 million years – the Sago Palm. It’s a prehistoric plant with really hard seeds that are similar to an almond. They have a shell with a seed inside, and have been around since before the dinosaurs. The plant has been growing on earth for all that time.
The presenter shows how he plants these seeds. It’s possible to plant the seed as it is, but as with all seeds with a hard shell, it’s advisable to remove the outer shell to speed things up. The seed is placed in water over night and then planted into soil to sprout.
